Ceremonies in Abiquiu, New Mexico
at the Little Mesa Peace Chamber
Upcoming Ceremonies:
Dance of the Cosmic Dreamer - August 28, noon to August 29, 2 pm
The Dance of the Cosmic Dreamer is a special opportunity to walk, dance, observe the lunar eclipse, sleep and dream on sacred land overlooking Plaza Blanca and amazing horizons. This is a dance of hope for the future. We dance to plant the seeds of humanity's peace return to the stars. We dance to honor our essential nature which is love.
We will gather at noon in Abiquiu in the Little Mesa Peace Chamber for sharing, community building and teachings in the tradition of Beautiful Painted Arrow. We will honor the four directions, the earth, sky and ancestors as we visit the various shrines on this land. In the afternoon, we will prepare the outdoor dance arbor and share a meal.
The dance begins after dark and will take place during a night of lunar eclipse. This dance honors the stars and planets and our place in the cosmos. A core of the teachings has to do with "not getting stuck in the form" and gaining the courage to step beyond our perceived limitations. We dance to experience ourselves as cosmic beings, children of the stars, and ultimately, that which is beyond space and time, always and everywhere.
After dancing for some time, we will go to our sleeping places and dream. We will honor the sun in the morning and end after breakfast and a talking circle.
A suggested donation of $150 (sliding scale, more if you are able, less if not) is appreciated and will contribute toward expenses, support our effort to protect the land and build an adobe shade house to support ongoing ceremony.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact us by email at [email protected]. We will email directions.
