Each season has it’s own ceremonies that are born from the voice of the earth.  Winter is a sacred time for inner spiritual journeying.  This knowledge is embedded deeply in our being-ness.  Beautiful Painted Arrow teaches that the sacred vibration of the drum is “na-mo-lo-ne” which means to “look deeply into the self”.  Since ancient times shamans have used the drum to assist them in journeying inward.  The Drumming Vision Quest uses the power of the season aided by the mystical power of the drum to help us discover who we truly are.  We hold this ceremony to honor the crystallized truth of winter-time and become the vibration of the soul crying out to know itself and find balance within and in the world.  We begin with a Sweat Lodge Friday evening and end with a feast on Sunday morning.  During the ceremony, led by chamber caretaker, Rick Cotroneo, we drum for a period of about 2 hours and then rest for a period of about two hours.  We continue this rhythm through the day and night so  that we may enter the space between waking and dream.  A very powerful experience.  Contact us by phone or email by January 15.
