World-Wide Chanting for Peace on the December 2023 Solstice: Creating 24 hours of Chanting for Peace

Universal Time: Starting on December 21 at 3 pm
USA East Coast Time: Starting December 21 at 10 am 

SOLSTICE CHANTING THEME: At the beginning of time, my soul chose to incarnate to be a chanter for peace at this particular moment in time.  It is my soul’s calling, part of my purpose for being. It is hard and I may feel weary or hopeless, but despite that, I step up with courage and persistence to play my part in this cosmic unfolding.

World-wide Call for Chanting

Please join the call to create a stream of continuous chanting for peace across the solstice. Peace chambers, groups and individuals from around the world will be joining in this annual event by chanting for an hour.

December 21st, 6:30-8:30 pm followed by potluck dinner. 

Chanting is followed by a potluck meal. Donations benefit Northeast Food Bank.
We are asking all chanters to include the chants below in your ceremony:
  • Da-Vee
  • Key-Ya-Tah: May there be peace
  • Waa-Chee-Pu-Chi: May healing come to thee

Thanks to all who participated in the 2012 ceremonies on the winter solstice.  During the course of the day we were blessed by two double rainbows. In all of our years on the land here we have never seen a rainbow appear in December!  These pictures are wonderful but could not quite capture the full brightness or spectrum or color of the rainbows we saw.  Photos courtesy of Michael Pittman.
