World-Wide Chanting for Peace on the December 2020 Solstice: Creating 24 hours of Chanting for Peace

Universal Time: Starting on December 20 at 1 pm
USA East Coast Time: Starting December 20 at 8 am

SOLSTICE CHANTING THEME: “Listen carefully from the cosmic heart. The vibration of love rises from all of the directions and all of the eternities".

World-wide Call for Chanting

Please join the call to create a stream of continuous chanting for peace across the solstice. Peace chambers, groups and individuals from around the world will be joining in this annual event by chanting for an hour.

We are asking all chanters to include the vowel sounds in  your solstice chanting followed by singing songs and offering prayers about love, as suggested by the theme for this year's chanting!
Chanting the Vowel Sounds:
Here is a description of the specific sounds to chant and the central metaphor behind the sound:

a pronounced "ah" as in ma = purification or to cleanse
e pronounced as "eh" as in pet = placement and relationship
i pronounced "ee" as in tree = awareness
o pronounced "o" as in grow = innocence or teachability
u pronounced as "u" as in true = carrying or being carried

If you would like to join in with the chanting, please view the schedule below and select a time for your chanting!  Then please email your name or group's name, location, date and UT or US East Coast time as well as your local time when you would like to chant to homica@nycap.rr.com

Images from the 2012 Winter Solstice Ceremonies at the House of Mica Peace Chamber

Thanks to all who participated in the 2012 ceremonies on the winter solstice.  During the course of the day we were blessed by two double rainbows. In all of our years on the land here we have never seen a rainbow appear in December!  These pictures are wonderful but could not quite capture the full brightness or spectrum or color of the rainbows we saw.  Photos courtesy of Michael Pittman.
